If it’s breakfast, lunch or afternoon cream teas there, all served at the  Mill Cafe They do not have a website, but there is a Facebook link and most days. The nearest Spar shop/ garage is on the main road A487, just before the turn to Trefin by the Square and Compass pub. They sell a good selection and have long opening hours.6 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week

Out of the village the A487 take a left and it’s almost immediately on your left. I know they do to set meals and a bottle of wine to £25 on a Friday and I’ve heard they do a good Sunday lunch, I would recommend booking as I understand they don’t accept walk ins

 

 

Artramont Arms Pub/ Chipshop – Remain on the A487, a mile up the road Going towards  St Davids   Their telephone number is 01348 831309. There is a menu in reception at the barn. Great fish and chips for £6.
The Farmers Arms is a traditional village pub, offering a friendly welcome,and a wide range of beers located in the village of Mathry. Come out of the village take A487 towards Fishguard, a mile or so you will see a sign for Mathry on the left. Farmers Arms, about 200 yards on the right. The pub is dog friendly and they seem to do a very good trade in food. They also have lots of local events on. Sloop Inn

About a 10 minutes drive  from Trifin Just drive through the village passed the Ship Inn and take the coast road for about 2 miles. You will see a sign post on the right for Porthgain drive down into the village where you cannot miss the pub. Alternatively, you can walk the coastal path.

It takes about 45 minutes. If you have a dog they are welcome outside, but not in the pub itself. Food is good, if a little expensive but certainly worth a visit. It’s a beautiful little harbour It also has great coastal walks to either side.
